$10 PURE GOLD COIN MAPLES LEAVES WITH QUEEN ELIZABETH II EFFIGY (1965)
This $10 coin is 99.99% pure gold, with a diameter of 20 millimetres and a metal weight of 7.8 grams. The reverse image by Canadian artist Celia Godkin features two sugar maple leaves. The obverse design by Arnold Machin features the second effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to appear on Canadian coinage in 1965, when she was 39 years old. The effigy is encircled with the Latin legend "ELIZABETH II D.G. REGINA", which means "Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen".
A certificate accompanies this beautiful coin which attests that your 2014 pure gold coin is authorised by the Government of Canada. The coin has been expertly struck by the Royal Canadian Mint and has limited mintage worldwide of 1,500.
