The only denomination of gold coin issued by the RSFSR (the socialist state of Russia), was the 10 roubles and these are known as Chervonetz. There were three different issues, and this third issue ran between 1975 to 1982. Only coins of this third type can be commonly found.
This 1979 coin is 22mm in diameter, weighs 8.6026g and contains .2489 oz of fine gold (.900 fineness). These coins are very detailed in design and are in uncirculated condition. They are one of the least well known bullion coins we have in stock, but we believe they are well worth adding to any collection.
