The United States Mint certifies that this coin is a genuine 1990 Eisenhower Centennial Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar, struck in accordance with legislation passed by Congress and signed by the President on October 3, 1988, as Public Law 100-467. This coin was produced by the United States Mint to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the birth of Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States.
The obverse design of the 1990 Eisenhower Centennial features Eisenhower profiles - 5-Star General and 34th President.
The reverse design features the Eisenhower home at Gettysburg National Historic Site.
The coin is housed in a plastic capsule placed on a felt tray within a velvet presentation case with hinged lid on which was mounted a plaque of a heraldic eagle. The case is in a brown cardboard box imprinted with the Great Seal and "United States Eisenhower Centennial Silver Dollar." A slipcover, similarly imprinted, protected the box. A certificate of authenticity is also included.
