The United States Mint certifies that this coin is a genuine 2010 American Veterans Disabled for Life Proof Silver Dollar, struck in accordance with legislation passed by Congress and signed by the President on July 17, 2008, as Public Law 110-277. This coin was produced by the Department of the Treasury, United States Mint, to commemorate disabled American Veterans.

The obverse design of the 2010 American Veterans Disabled for Life Silver Dollar features an image of the legs and boots of three veterans with the inscription "THEY STOOD UP FOR US" "IN GOD WE TRUST," "LIBERTY," "2010" and the “W” mint mark.

The reverse design depicts a forget-me-not flower at the base of a wreath wrapped in ribbon that cradles and supports clusters of oak branches with the inscription "TAKE THIS MOMENT TO HONOR OUR DISABLED DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM".  Also shown are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "ONE DOLLAR."

The coin is housed in a plastic capsule placed on a blue velvet tray within a blue velvet presentation case with hinged lid on which was mounted a plaque of a heraldic eagle. The case is in a blue cardboard box imprinted with the Great Seal and "United States Silver Dollar”. A certificate of authenticity is also included.
