SYDNEY MINT SESQUICENTENARY 1855 - 2005

This beautiful $10 numismatic commemorative coin has been crafted to honour the sesquicentenary of the opening of the Royal Mint, Sydney on the 14th May 1855.

The 2005 $10 Silver Proof Coin commemorates 150 years since the opening of the Sydney Mint.  Superbly crafted by Wojciech Pietranik this selectively gold plated coin displays the image of one of Sydney's most historically significant buildings, the Sydney Mint.

The obverse of this beautiful coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
