A 1994 silver proof PIEDFORT two pound coin struck by the Royal Mint to commemorate the 300th Anniversary of the Bank of England.

The reverse depicts the Bank’s original Corporate Seal with the Crown & Cyphers of William III and Mary II. The coin is encased in a protective plastic capsule within it’s original presentation case, together with the Certificate of Authenticity.

Being a PIEDFORT coin it is much thicker and heavier than the standard Silver proof coin. A superb piece for the collector of Silver Proof coins.

This superb two-pound coin weighs 31.96 grammes, measures 28.40 millimetres in diameter and is legal tender within the UK. Struck in sterling (.925) silver to the finest Proof quality, only 10,000 of these superb coins have been authorised for worldwide distribution.
