1997 £10 Note and Silver Proof £5 Set - Golden Wedding

This special set was issued jointly by the Bank of England and the Royal Mint to celebrate the Golden Wedding Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

The set contains a Specimen £10 Note with a special Cypher of HM50 and a serial number of between 1 and 1500 in honour of the Golden Wedding, and a Silver Proof £5 Crown Struck also in celebration of the event.

The set is housed in a deluxe velvet lined box with a full colour information booklet / Certificate of Authenticity. Both items are also encapsulated to keep their proof quality.

Only 1500 of these sets were issued so you will not see them on offer too often.
