2008 Silver Proof Family Collection

This stunning collection comprises silver specimens of the three new commemorative coins for 2008 including two magnificient crown pieces - one celebrating the 450th Anniverary of the Accession of Queen Elizabeth I and another the 60th Birthday of His Royla Highness The Prince of Wales.

The bi-colour £2 coin marks the centenary of the Olympic Games held in London in 1908 while two further coins - the Britannia silver £2 coin and the £1 coin bearing the original design of the Royal Arms - complete the 2008 Family Silver Collection.

The Britannina £2 coin has been struck in britannia silver while the four remaining coins have been struck in the traditional sterling silver alloy.  All five coins have been struck to Proof quality and have been taken from their issue limits.

This limited-edition collection is housed in a black presentation case and is accompanied by a specially designed booklet.

Only 5,000 Family Silver Proof collections have been authorised for 2008.
