In 2001 the Royal Canadian Mint started a special issue of Coloured Silver Maple Leaf, four coins where produced for the series which ended in 2004.
This lovely winter-themed Silver Maple Leaf was done at the Royal Canadian Mint, and is part of their four-year Season in the Colours Collection. This is the fourth and final in the series of annual colourised Silver Maple Leafs. The reverse image is a beautiful colour image of the last red leaves of winter clinging to a maple tree.
The 2004 Winter Coloured Maple Leaf has a coloured relief on a satin background finish. The Maple Leaf is the most recognized of all Canadian emblems. It beautifully adorns this brilliant 99.99% pure silver coin.
