Featuring two British Icons

A new coin in a new dnomination is a rare event.  In 1990, the face-value £5 coin made its debut, struck to commemorate The Queen Mother's 90th birthday.  In 2013 a face-value £20 coin was issued for the first time, featuring a Benedetto Pistrucci's classic St George and the dragon design.

In 2015, we welcomed another minting first with a a brand new United Kingdom £50 coin.  This is the very first UK face-value £50 coin, and it features two inspirational figures: Her Majesty The Queen and Britannia.
