The 300th anniversary of one of the most significant episodes in British history has been marked by the issue of a special commemorative £2 coin.

The Bill of Rights £2 coin has been struck by Royal Mint craftsmen to Brilliant Uncirculated quality.

For the Bill of Rights design the House of Commons Mace has been interlinked with the cypher of William and Mary, with st Edward's Crown positioned above and the dates 1689 and 1989 below.

The obverse features Raphael Maklouf's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the denominational value below.
