As one of Australia’s most important national commemorative occasions, ANZAC Day is a time when we honour all those who have given their lives in the service of their country.  This year’s tribute salutes the engineers who have served, and continue to serve, in the Australian Defence Force.

The design on this uncirculated $1 coin portrays an engineer searching for landmines and a bulldozer in the background.  A bugler in silhouette, the inscription ‘Lest We Forget’ and the date of ANZAC Day, ‘April 25’, are also included in the design.

Issued as Australian legal tender, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year-date and the monetary denomination.

This coin is struck by The Perth Mint from high quality aluminium bronze.

Each coin is presented in a specially designed display card-stand featuring an image of a Royal Australian Engineer conducting a dawn service. Sealed in original Perth Mint packaging.
