This DateStamp™ Set celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first two coins issued for the decimalisation of Britain's coinage.
Britain's move to a decimalised system for its circulating coins in 1971 is considered one of the most significant numismatic moments in British history.
The 1968 1op and 5p coins included in this set were introduced three years before the full transition to a decimalised system took place in 1971. Both coins have been protectively encapsulated and are presented in a presentation case along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
