The special £2 coin has been produced by the Royal Mint to commemorate one of the greatest technological advances of modern times - the first international radio transmission across the Atlantic, from Cornwall to Newfoundland, by Guglielmo Marconi. The coin symbolises the tremendous impact this initial signal has had on communication in the hundred years since 1901.
