THE ANGLO FRENCH TRAVELLED COIN FIRST DAY COVER

The Royal Mint 2004 Entente Cordiale £5 Coin has a stunning reverse design combining the symbols of Britain and France and this colourful First Day Cover celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Entente Cordiale and the 10th Anniversary of the Channel Tunnel.

The "Entente Cordiale" stamps on your Coin First Day Cover are a unique and delightful celebration of the centenary of the "special relationship" between Britain and France.  The phrase Entente Cordiale (Friendly Understanding) signifies an agreement between nations - something less than an alliance by more thatn a "rapprochement".

The British stamps are postmarked in London and the French in Paris, on their First Day of Issue - an unusual and very collectible arrangement.

This commemorative cover travelled on board Eurostar on 2nd April 2004.
