Gibraltar was the first country to issue a series of breed specific dog coins starting with a Royal Corgi in 1991, following with a Cocker Spaniel in 1992, a Dachshund in 1993, a Pekinese in 1994, a Collie in 1995, a British Bulldog in 1996 and the last coin in the series, a Yorkshire Terrier in 1997.

The release of the British Bulldog crown is a stunning addition to the popular dog series. 

Approved by Buckingham Palace, the obverse of this crown bears a fine effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse depicts a beautiful portrait of the handsome British Bulldog standing proud.

The coin cover is beautifully illustrated and is individually numbered.  As we have several of the covers in stock, the serial number may vary from the item shown.

With five stunning stamps featuring dogs, and a 1 crown coin issued by Gibraltar;  Postmark Battersea, London, SW8, 13th February 2001 and 6 adorable paw prints.
