On 29th March 2017, the United Kingdom formally triggered Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union, thereby beginning the process of leaving the EU.  This was the result of the referendum on 23rd June 2016.  The reverse of the coin features the text "Peace Prosperity & Friendship With All Nations" written in beautiful script, with the obverse featureing  the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
