A certificate accompanies this beautiful coin celebrating the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria's birth.  Struck by the Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Autralian Currency Act 1965.

Queen Victoria was born Alexandrina Victoria on 24th May, 1819, at Kensington Palace, London.  She was the only daughter of Edward, Duke of Kent, the fourth son of George III.  Her father died shortly after her birth and she became heir to the throne as the three uncles ahead of her in the line of succession had no surviing legminate children.

The reverse of the coin depicts four effigies of Queen Victoria that have featured on Australian coinage between 1857 and 1901. These include the "Young Head Portrait", "Jubilee Portrait", "Veiled Head Portrait" and "Sydney Mint Type II Portrait".  With the St. Edward's Crown in the centre, the coins reverse design also includes two stylised wattle branches, the inscription "QUEEN VICTORIA 200th ANNIVERSARY" and The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark.

The obverse of the coin depicts the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2019 year-date and monetary denomination of the coin.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the Queen Victoria 200th Anniversary 2019 1oz Silver Proof Coins.

The coin is encapulated and presented in the original Perth Mint packaging, with colourful outer box and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and Certificate of Provenance.
