2015 $3 Silver Proof Coin - 50th Anniversary Canadian Flag

On the 50th anniversary of the National Flag of Canada, the Royal Canadian Mint is celebrating the universally-recognised symbol of Canada with a fine silver proof collector coin enhanced by vibrant colour.  The coin was unveiled on the 15^th February at a special Flag Day ceremony at Confederation Park in Ottawa.

The Royal Canadian Mint’s renowned artistry and craftsmanship bring to life this stunning design celebrating the 50th anniversary of Canada’s flag and are delighted to join Canadians in expressing their affections for the iconic flag, with a beautifully designed coloured silver collector coin. 

The reverse design features the Canadian flag in red and white, strikingly framed within the outline of the map of Canada, as a commemoration of its 50^th anniversary.  The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

The coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell box with a graphic outer box.
