The 1997 Silver Dollar celebrates the 25^th Anniversary of the Canada/USSR Hockey Series of 1972. 

The reverse designed by Canadian artist Walter Burden features the picture which commemorates the climatic goal of the series’ eighth and final game.  Paul Henderson's winning goal won the series for Canada.
