2008 Silver Proof £5 - Queen Elizabeth I

In celebration of the 450th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth I, the Royal Mint has struck the UK crown in sterling silver. Both the obverse and reverse designs of each Proof coin are reproduced with meticulous care by skilled craftsmen and, having been struck at least twice, are supreme examples of the art of minting.
