2010 Silver Proof £5 Crown - Countdown to London 2012

To celebrate London’s hosting of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Royal Mint launched a range of London 2012 coins ? the Countdown Coins. As the countdown over the three years, a set of four £5 Proof coins were struck in sterling silver starting with the first coin dated 2009, which represents the sport of Swimming on its reverse; the remaining three coins were issued one each year until 2012.
