2013 Silver Proof £5 Coin - Christening of HRH Prince George

TO CELEBRATE THE CHRISTENING OF PRINCE GEORGE OF CAMBRIDGE 2013

On the 22nd July 2013 the latest addition to the Royal family was safely delivered.  He was to be named His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.

The arrival of Prince George was posted in an official proclamation at the gates of Buckingham Palace.

There have been six King Georges, the first four reigning in succession from 1714 to 1830.  George V, who came to the throne in 1910 and then King George VI in 1936.  The arrival of Prince George heralds an uncommon moment, with three generations of heirs to the throne living at one time.
