The icon behind some of the most popular songs ever recorded, Elton John is a musician, performer, campaigner, knight and father.  This coin celebrates one of pop music's all-time greats.

Tradition dictates that the portrait of a living person - apart from the reigning monarch and members of the Royal Family - should not appear on a coin, so Designer Bradley Morgan Johnson was faced with a challenge when creating the design celebrating Elton John.  Instantly recognisable as representative of the singer, it depicts musical notes and the boater's hat of Elton John's I'm Still Standing phase against a Union flag background.

The only silver coloured-printed edition of the coin, with the colour printing showcasing the musical notes, hat and bow tie.  This coin also features a bespoke edge - exclusive to this coin - with the words "*Elton John*".
