2006 Britannia Golden Silhouette Collection

The Royal Mint issued for the first time in 2006 a unique collection of silver Britannia coins, each featuring the  selective gold-plating on both the Obverse and Reverse.  Featuring all five of the Britannia designs used since 1997, each coin has been struck in .958 "Britannia Silver" and to an immaculate proof finish.  For the first time on a British coin, the Royal Mint has selectively gold-plated both the reverse and obverse of each coin in the set.
