1997 Silver Proof BRITANNIA 4 Coin Set

This special edition set as issued by the Royal Mint was only available during 1997 with this stunning design to commemorate the tercentenary of the introduction of the Britannia silver hallmarking standard. 

This magnificient set contains a 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz Silver Proof Britannia coins with the modern design of the 'Britannia in Chariot', and was the first year the 4 coin sets were issued. The coin set is housed in the original Dark Green Royal mint issue case with the certificate of authenticity. The photo shows more detail but does not do this truly beautiful set justice.
