2024 1oz Silver Coin – PERTH MINT'S 125TH ANNIVERSARY

The Perth Mint opened on the 20^th June 1899 at the height of the Western Australian gold rush. In celebration of The Perth Mint's 125th anniversary, only 150,000 1oz silver coins showcasing the kangaroo, kookaburra and koala were struck.

Obverse - The Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and the monetary denomination.

Reverse - Portrays the koala, kangaroo and kookaburra artfully arranged in a golden wattle, which is Australia's national floral emblem. On a scroll, the years 1899 and 2024 are struck, signifying the 125 years that The Perth Mint has been in operation. The coin's weight and fineness along with the 2024 and the "P125" privy mark complete this design.
