1994 1oz Silver KANGAROO (Display Card)

The Kangaroo is recognised all around the world as the true symbol of Australia.  The largest living marsupal, it occupies a special place in the hearts of Australians.

The Silver Kangaroo is the first 40mm, 0.999 silver legal tender Australian coin produced by the Royal Australian Mint and guaranteed to be one Troy ounce of fine silver.

Another special feature of this remarkable coin is the "reverse frosting".  Although it is an uncirculated grade coin, proof-like characteristics have been achieved by its highly polish raised images and delicately frosted background - the opposite to what you would find on a proof coin.

Reverse design captures a Red Kangaroo in full flight.  The coin also carries the "C" mintmark denoting its origin in Canberra and the words "1 Ounce Fine Silver".
