1995 1oz Silver KANGAROO (Display Card)

This legal tender coin cannot normally be found in Australia's circulating currency.  It is a special issue crerated by the Royal Australian Mint for coin collectors and international visitors and has unique heirloom and gift value.

The reverse design features a portrait of a proud Eastern Grey Kangaroo, an image synonymous with Australia.

The coin is guaranteed to be one troy ounce of fine silver and at 40mm diameter it is truly distinctive.

Another special feature of this remarkable coin is its "reverse frosting", where proof-like characteristics have been achieved by highly polishing the raised images on a delicately frosted background.

The Silver Kangaroo was designed and sculptred by Horst Hahne, Director of Design and Engraving at the Royal Australian Mint, Canberra.
