007 The James Bond Collection

Capturing 007 with original designs and special minting finishes, the quintessentially British spy – Bond, James Bond – has evolved over six actors and 25 films. As the 25th film, No Time To Die was set to be released, The Royal Mint celebrated with a new stunning collection.

The collection began with the Aston Martin DB5, the classic Bond car, and was followed by a coin featuring ‘Wet Nellie’, the futuristic submarine car. The final coin in the series continued with a coin exploring the style and luxury that has characterised the 007 films, with the reverse showing Bond in a classic dinner suit accompanied by those famous words – shaken not stirred.

This is the second coin in the series and shows the famous "Wet Nellie" - the submarine form of James Bond's Lotus Esprit in the film The Spy Who Loved Me.  It also features the immortal words of Q, the Quartermaster, "Pay attention 007". The obverse of the coin features the classic portrait of Her Majesty the Queen by Jody Clark, as well as the coin's face value.
