The 2014-dated "BALD EAGLE" is the second issue in the Royal Canadian Mint's new four-coin, 1 oz., 99.99% pure silver bullion Canadian Birds of Prey series. Two coins per year will be released in 2014 and 2015.

Its reverse design features a brilliantly illustrated Bald Eagle in flight with a caught fish in it's talons by acclaimed Canadian coin designer and nature illustrator Emily Damstra. Coins from this new silver bullion series will be produced to a maximum mintage of one million.

The 1oz Silver BALD EAGLE coins are likely to be one of the most popular in this series, with the bird being so beautifully depicted on the reverse of the coin, and it being the second issue in the four coin series
