The 2015-dated "RED-TAILED HAWK" is the third issue in the Royal Canadian Mint's new four-coin, 1 oz., 99.99% pure silver bullion Canadian Birds of Prey series. Two coins per year are being issued - two in 2014 and two will be released in 2015.

Its reverse design features a brilliantly illustrated Red-Tailed Hawk swooping down to earth with its claws out ready to swoop up its prey, by acclaimed Canadian coin designer and nature illustrator Emily Damstra. Coins from this new silver bullion series will be produced to a maximum mintage of one million.

The 1oz Silver Red-Tailed Hawk coins are likely to be one of the most popular in this series, with the bird being so beautifully depicted on the reverse of the coin, and it being the third issue in only a four coin series
