The 2015-dated "GREAT HORNED OWL" is the fourth and final issue in the Royal Canadian Mint's new four-coin, 1 oz., 99.99% pure silver bullion Canadian Birds of Prey series. Two coins per year have been issued - two in 2014 and two now released in 2015.

The reverse of the coin features a menacing Great Horned Owl, wings spread as it descends upon its prey. Coins from this new silver bullion series will be produced to a maximum mintage of one million.

The 1oz Silver Great Horned Owl coins are likely to be one of the most popular in this series, with the bird being so beautifully depicted on the reverse of the coin, and it being the final coin needed to complete a four coin series
