The 2025 Perth Mint Kookaburra features a striking new design as well as .9999 fine purity. It features a Kookaburra perched on a branch. Marking the 35th anniversary of the first Kookaburra, the 1990 design is included as a privy mark.

Obverse - Features the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and the monetary denomination.

Reverse - Created by artist Sean Rogers, the reverse depicts a kookaburra perched on a tree branch. Also included in the design is the inscription "KOOKABURRA" and The Perth Mint’s "P" mint mark. The 2025 year-date, as well as the weight and purity, is included in the design. Each coin’s reverse includes a security feature of a micro-laser engraved letter within the coin's design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass. Celebrating the Kookaburra coin's 35th anniversary, the original 1990 design is included in the design as a privy!
