The Australian Silver Kookaburra series from the Perth Mint began in 1990 and is the longest-running bullion program from the mint. Each year has a differing design of a Kookaburra on the reverse. This bird species is indigenous to Australia and is known for their call, which is said to sound like echoing human laughter.

A laughing Kookaburra, the largest member of the Kingfisher species, is synonymous with the Australian outback. These coins have a mintage of 500,000 coins and are made of .999 fine Silver.

Contains 1oz of .999 fine Silver.

Reverse of the coin has been created by artist Sean Rogers, and depicts a kookaburra in flight over a gorge with a snake in its talons. Also included in the design is the inscription "KOOKABURRA" and The Perth Mint’s "P125" mint mark, celebrating its 125th anniversary. The 2024 year-date, as well as the weight and purity, is included in the design. Each coin’s reverse includes a security feature of a micro-laser engraved letter within the coin's design, which is only detectable under a magnifying glass.

Obverse: Bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
