2003 Silver Proof £2 - DNA

A very desirable Silver Proof £2 issued by the Royal Mint in 2003. The Bi-coloured coin is made of a 22ct Gold plated outer disc and a Solid Silver inner disc.

The reverse pattern represents the spiralling double helix structure of DNA with the inscription ‘ DNA Double Helix’.

Only 20,000 were issued for worldwide distribution. Encapsulated and housed in the original Royal Mint box with the Certificate of Authenticity..
