2018 Silver Proof Ten Pence - The Great British Coin Hunt - F

In 2018 The Royal Mint released 26 commemorative 10p coin designs. Their theme is the A to Z of Britain and each coin combines a letter of the alphabet with an aspect of quintessential Britishness.

This is the first time The Royal Mint has produced a series of commemorative 10p coins and each 10p coin has been struck in .925 Sterling Silver to a Proof finish.

F is for Fish and Chips - This 10p features a fish made from the letter F, which is surrounded by chips.  

For those tummies still rumbling there’s a British solution, Fish and Chips are a tempting, tasty national institution.  There’s nothing more British than freshly cooked, piping hot, fish and chips, smothered in salt and doused with vinegar, wrapped in newspaper and eaten out-of-doors on a cold and wintry day – it simply cannot be beaten!  For many of us, fish and chips conjure up an array of memories, from seaside holidays, a pay-day treat at the end of the working week or a late-night supper on the way home from the pub.

The coin is protectively encapsulated in a Perspex presentation block and housed in the original Royal Mint outer case.
