2016 £2 Coin - Shakespeare Histories

In 2016 to commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the Death of William Shakespeare, the Royal Mint released a £2 Two Pound, honouring one of literature’s true greats.

The reverse of this coin depicts a Crown & Dagger, commemorating  Shakespeare and his greatest works.  

The obverse of the coin depicts Jody Clark's Fifth Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
