2016 50p - Beatrix Potter 150th Anniversary

This brand new Beatrix Potter 50p coin has been issued to celebrate the life and work of Beatrix Potter on the 150th Anniversary of her birth.

Struck by The Royal Mint, this is the first coin in a brand new 5-coin series and has proved to be extremely popular with coin collectors.

The reverse design depicts elements that celebrate her life as the artist behind some of the best-loved characters in children’s literature. The obverse features the fifth definitive portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
