Paddington has arrived on the United Kingdoms' coins!  To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the publication of A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond, these official UK 50p coins bring the adventures of Britain's favourite bear to life.

Although Paddington hails from Darkest Peru, he has made himself very much at home in London, where marmalade supplies are plentiful.  Inspired by his many adventures around the capital city, the first coin captures the polite and curouis bear at Paddington Station, where he first meets his new family, the Browns.  The seond coin features Paddington at Buckingham Palace waving his Union Flag for Her Majesty The Queen.
