This collection contains three new reverse designs for 2005.

The two-pound coin celebrates the 400th Anniversary of the discovery of ths Gunpowder Plot and shows a mace, crosier and sword, in a circular arrrangement suggestive of a Catherine Wheel.  On the one pound is Thomas Telford's magnificient Menai Bridge while the fifty pence commemorating the 250th anniversary of Samuel Johnson's Dictionary of the English Language shows an interpretation of the description of fifty pence as it appeared in Johnson's dictionary.  The designs are the work of Peter Forster, Edwina Ellis and Tom Phillips respectively.

All obverse designs show Ian Rank-Broadley's majestic portrait of the Queen.

On offer is the totally uncirculated year 2005 coin set containing as issued for circulation by the Royal Mint.

The set contains 10 coins as follows: 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, 50p Dictionary edition, £1 Menai bridge edition, £2 and £2 Gunpower Plot edition.

A must have for the collector of year sets.
