1996 A CENTURY OF BRITISH MOTORING - PHILATELIC MEDALLIC COVER

Both obverse and reverse of the Classic Cars Medal were designed by John Lobban.  The obverse has been inspired by the cockpit of a 1930's MG sports car while the reverse recalls the early days of British motoring depicting three veteran cars that are still seen in the annual London-Brighton Run.
