2000 Celebrations - Six Coin Proof Set

In keeping with the year 2000 celebrations, the Royal Australian Mint has produced this 2000 Six Coin Proof Set.  

The 2000 Royal Australian Mint six coin proof set showcases Australian circulating coin designs and is minted in a beautiful proof finish. The set features the 5c, 10c, 20c, $1 and $2 coins with their original circulating designs, arranged in the constellation of the Southern Cross.  Vladimir Gottwald's specially prepared commemorative 50c coin is the showpiece of the set, featuring the Australian National Flag emblazoned in colour - a first time in a Six Coin Set.

The reverse designs of 5c, 10c, 20c and $1 coins were created by Stuart Devlin, while Horst Hahne designed the $2 coin. Vladimir Gottwald is the designer of the commemorative 50 cent coin.  Obverses of all coins bear the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.

All coins in this set are individually struck to the highest minting quality, with a raised frosted design and smooth mirror-like background.

The coins are beautifully presented in a perspex case, housed within a Royal Australian Mint Royal blue folder; accompanied by an information card and outer shipper.
