THE ROYAL WEDDING

PRINCE WILLIAM ARTHUR PHILIP LOUIS OF WALES TO MISS CATHERINE MIDDLETON
29TH APRIL 2011

On the day of the Royal Wedding, Catherine Middleton will travel to Westminster Abbey by car, along a route that will take in The Mall, Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and Parliament Square.

The wedding service will begin at 11am.  The Archbishop of Canterbury will marry the couple and the Bishop of London will give the address.

The wedding procession will then return to Buckingham Palace along streets lined with well-wishers hoping to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds.  This will be followed by a private dinner given by the Prince of Wales, as the celebrations carry on into the evening.

This commemorative crown celebrates the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.  It is one of only two UK crown pieces to bear a double portrait commemorating a  Royal Wedding day.  The first was that of Prince William's parents - The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer.
