1995 Belgium 100 Franc

Belgium, a founder member of the EEC, decided to adopt the European single currency.  It did so, 1st January 1999.  This 100 Franc note represents the last of this denomination.  It features the portrait of James Ensor, the renowned Belgium painter and printmaker.  The Belgium Franc ceased to exist as a currency on 1st January 2002.  Replaced by the Euro.
