Formed in London in the 1970's, Queen are one of the most iconic bands of all time.  This coin pays tribute to a group of musicians whose timeless hits continue to delight millions of fans all over the world.

The only coin in the range to feature colour printing.

Designed by Chris Facey, the reverse of the coin gives all four band members equal billing, which was achieved by featuring their different instruments.  The Bechstein grand piano is the one Freddie played on Bohemian Rhapsody.  Brian May built his Red Special guitar as a teenager and the neck is made from a 200-year-old fireplace.  Roger Taylor's Ludwig bass drum is decorated with the Queen Crest, as it was in the band's early days.  John Deacon's Fender Precision Bass is the same model he plays in the video for Don't Stop Me Now.  The Queen logo is placed in the centre and underscored with Freddie's signature mic stick.
