Beatrix Potter was a unique and brilliant individual - artistically skilled, ahead of her time in much of her thinking, and blessed with the ability to tell a timeless story.  Her love for the natural world also persists, thanks in part to her ardent support for the National Trust and its mission of preservation.  The year 2021 is one in which we celebrate her talents, as it marks 120 years since Beatrix Potter privately printed the first edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit.

Struck by the Royal Mint to an unblemished Brilliant Uncirculated finish, this £5 coin has been protectively encapsulated.
