2006 Silver Proof 50p Two-Coin Set – The Victoria Cross

This 2006 Silver Proof 50p two-coin set contains the 2 designs commissioned to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the VICTORIA CROSS award - The highest Galantry award of the United Kingdom. 

VICTORIA CROSS - THE AWARD - The reverse design features the awarded medal of the cross, which stands out beautifully on the mirror background.

VICTORIA CROSS - THE HEROIC ACTS - The reverse features the Heroic Acts of the cross, with a design that stands out beautifully with the frosted finish on the mirror background.

This is very limited edition set, with only 7,500 of each coin to be issued by the Royal Mint.

Both coins are encapsulated side by side and housed in the original Royal Mint box with the Certificates of Authenticity for each coin.
