The Perth Mint continues its Mother and Baby series with a new design for 2023. 

Each release of the Next Generation coins features a mother and baby from an Australian Outback species. In addition, each coin includes the enhanced security feature of micro-engraved radial lines, which can be viewed with a magnifying glass.

This 2023 release featuring a mother kangaroo and baby joey together is the 6th release of the Next Generation series from Perth.

Obverse - Displays the Jody Clark Memorial Effigy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her years of reign (1952-2022) and the monetary denomination. The 2023 year-date and the .9999 purity are also featured in the design.

Reverse - Portrays a mother kangaroo with her baby joey. The Perth Mint's traditional "P" mint mark and radial lines are also included in the design.
