2023 St Helena 1oz Silver Coin - BOSTON TEA PARTY

This stunning 2023 St Helena Boston Tea Party 1oz Silver Coin was struck by the East India Company to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, a protest against taxation.

The Boston Tea Party was a protest against unjust taxation. On the night of 16^th December 1773, American Colonists named the 'Sons of Liberty', some dressed in Mohawk warrior disguises, stormed three East India Company ships and dumped the contents of 342 chests of tea in Boston Harbour, protesting against British parliament's tax on tea.

The reverse features an exclusive design showing an American colonist from the Sons of Liberty standing in front of a ship.

The obverse bears a portrait of King Charles III with the coin's weight, fineness, monetary denomination, and year date shown on the outer ring.

Contains 1oz of 999 fine silver.
